the art of John W. facilitated by Caitlin Harper
John W. is a staple in the Uptown neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois.
Caitlin and John met during Caitlin's work as a secretary at Uptown Research Institute, a psychiatric clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
The collaboration between John and Caitlin began when John couldn't figure out how to navigate his way through the customer service phone line of his bank. Caitlin knew exactly what John needed and translated this to the customer service voice on the other end of the line. Caitlin noticed that John had a very colorful and imaginative way of communicating and asked him if he had ever made any art.
He had indeed made art, but currently did not have the supplies to continue. Caitlin bought him a sketchbook and some art tools. John returned the following day with a half-filled sketchbook. They then made plans to meet every other Friday to create completed works of art.
Thus began the tale of The Black Timelord Project.
